looks like a heck of a track and ride, BUT............ Shouldnt you be wearing all the protective gear when one rides? would hate to give kids the impression thats its ok to skimp out on gear. Just my opinion. have fun and ride safe.

Typical: What is "all the protective gear"? I have alpinestar tech 10 boots ($650), Thor Force Helmet($350), Thor Enemy goggles($90.00),Thor Chest protector,($150) fly racing gloves($25.00), 661 knee and shin protection, ($75.00) Thor kevlar and leather phase motocross pants,(300) and of course a Thor phase jersey,(50.00).

Gee smart one About 1700.00 in gear on and I am without forearm protection. I have enough titanium in both forearms and wrists to make Terminator envious. My poor circulation means I can't afford to even wear a watch if I don't want to get arm-pump.

Other than that. I will accept an apology Taz as what you have intimated is nothing but drivel spewed by someone who knows nothing about motocross, or protection. Stick to knitting.

I thought maybe the dude who took off ahead might have been wearing shorts but it just looked weird because of the riding boots.

Taz Im still not seeing it? If you read an old thread where Mx lists his litany of destroyed body parts he's basically held together with duct tape and balsa wood. I dont agree with a lot of shit he says and he has crossed the line with some personal comments but I gotta call it like I see and I cant see what you're saying?

The jumps were built with the bones of people who asked about elbow pads.

I was out for a scoot on the motorcycle and drove out the airport. I noticed heavy equipment working on the MX site. A big thanks to the individuals and companies that have donated their time and equipment to make Fort Nelsons motorcross track a reality!
It's examples like this that make FN a very cool community!

Then he wasn't because if they were forged in Valhalla you'd know. You'd feel it.

Just to prove a point I cartwheeled my bike and landed on my head after going vertical on a jump. I wrecked my helmet, bent my bars, tore a lever off, busted a throttle tube, and inherited a 6 inch gouge in my thigh where I was restrained from going over the bars.

The only part of me that wasn't protected;..Elbows, forearms and wrists suffered just road rashes. Normally I tuck and roll...but this time my legs were still connected to my bike as my face planted terra-firma. So I wound-up flipping it over me and it landed 30 feet further on.

I did get back-up, take a moment to let the nausea pass (concussion number:?), and ride the rest of the day.
