Australian underwear company, AussieBum, decided to use bananas to make their new eco-friendly underwear line. The men's underwear will incorporate 27 percent banana fiber, 64 percent cotton and 9 percent lycra, said AussieBum's Lloyd Jones. According to Jones, the banana fiber is made from the bark of the banana plant which makes a lightweight and absorbant material. He goes on to say that if you added any more banana fiber, the underwear would be a bit too squishy. (Reuters)

They wear clothing in the philippines that is made from fiber from the Pineapple plants. Its mostly mens button up shirts and some fancier dresses. It feels almost like silk. Its pretty neat.
