KJ: I never watched Twin Peaks Oscargal...can't remember a log lady at all. It was just strange. Anyone else ever have a real wierd dream, that you couldn't help but remember?

I got this from the dream dictionary.

Wood
To dream of wood, suggests that you are emotionless and feeling dead inside. Your behavior is too automated; you're just going along with the flow. Or you may be acting out without fully thinking things through. Alternatively, the dream may be a pun on "getting wood" or sexual arousal.

So there you have it, you're either dead inside, or very much alive in the pants.

KJ: Well, I don't feel "dead inside" so it must be the latter. Excuse me, I gotta go...

Seems like the first one... That hit home pretty hard didn't it Ken??

Hahaha

No one has weird dreams like I do. The other night, I dreamed that me and my friend were at a carnival...he was getting cash out of an ATM, and it took his card. Then this shoot opened up, and an orange cat came through..he had a harness on. He wrapped his arms around my friend and took him inside. Then the shoot closed.

perhaps something is wrong with me?!?!!?

Sarah Bo Bara: here's what the dream dictionary says about carnivals.

To dream that you are at the carnival, represents falsehoods and deception. If you observe freakish sights, then it denotes that there is a lack of harmony in your domestic life. Much sorrow will arise in what were thought to be pleasant times.

I would hate to have no dreams. It doesn't matter if they are good or bad, the fact that my mind comes up with such crazy situations fascinates me. But if I was in your shoes, I'd probably rather have no dreams at all if I was having nothing but bad ones. But only if it was really haunting me.

I often dream of my teeth falling out, which is one of my most stressful reoccurring dreams. What does this mean SeanahR?

Bo Bara: this is a really common dream, here's what the dictionary said.

One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxiety about your appearance and how others perceive you. Sadly, we live in a world where good looks are valued highly and your teeth play an important role in conveying that image. Teeth are used in the game of flirtations, whether it be a dazzling and gleaming smile or affectionate necking. These dreams may stem from a fear of your sexual impotence or the consequences of getting old. Teeth are an important feature of our attractiveness and presentation to others. Everybody worries about how they appear to others. Caring about our appearance is natural and healthy.

Another rationalization for these falling teeth dream may be rooted in your fear of being embarrassed or making a fool of yourself in some specific situation. These dreams are an over-exaggeration of your worries and anxiety.

What about falling.
Not so much anymore but for a while a few years back I would constantly be woken up just after a dream of falling/sliding down a long wide open white room or floor not sure what it was but when I woke up I was grasping the bars on my bed or had to put one foot on the floor to feel like I was balanced.

via dream dictionary.

As with most common dream themes, falling is an indication of insecurities, instabilities, and anxieties. You are feeling overwhelmed and out of control in some situation in your waking life. This may reflect the way you feel in your relationship or in your work environment. You have lost your foothold and can not hang on or keep up with the hustle and bustle of daily life.?When you fall, there is nothing that you can hold on to. You more or less are forced toward this downward motion without any control. This lost of control may parallel a waking situation in your life.

Falling dreams also often reflect a sense of failure or inferiority in some circumstance or situation. It may be the fear of failing in your job/school, loss of status, or failure in love.?You feel shameful and lack a sense of pride. You are unable to keep up with the status quo or that you don't measure up.

According to Freudian theory, dreams of falling indicate that you are contemplating giving into a sexual urge or impulse. You maybe lacking indiscretion.

I had a really vivid dream one time that I was hanging out with Jeff Martin, the singer for The Tea Party. We were standing around inside Tackama just shootin' the poop. There was a treehouse involved as well, but it was more like a tree-mansion. I await the dream dictionary's reasoning.

Hey Mike, here is what the dream dictionary says about your dream.

To see a celebrity in your dream, represents your beliefs and understanding about him or her. Something in you waking life has triggered these similar beliefs and feelings. It is not uncommon that your obsession with a certain celebrity may carry over onto your dream world. Celebrities are often seen as heroes and all that is mighty.

To see or dream that you are in a tree house, indicates that you are trying to escape from your waking problems. You are blocking off the harsh reality of daily life.

Hi Ace, the dictionary wasn't specific about giving birth in a public place, but this is what it said about dreaming of giving birth in general:

To dream of giving birth or see someone else giving birth, suggests that you are giving birth to a new idea or project. It also represents new beginnings or some upcoming event. A more direct interpretation of this dream, may represent your desires/ anxieties of giving birth or the anticipation for such an event to occur.

Hi Lifer, here's what it says about being chased by an animal.

To dream that you are being chased, signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is often a metaphor for some form of insecurity. In particular, to dream that you are chased by an animal, represents your own unexpressed and unacknowledged anger which is being projected onto that animal. Alternatively, you may be running away from a primal urge or fear.

To see animals in your dream, represents your own physical characteristic, primitive desires, and sexual nature, depending on the qualities of the particular animal. Animals symbolizes the untamed and uncivilized aspects of yourself. Thus, to dream that you are fighting with an animal signifies a hidden part of yourself that you are trying to reject and push back into your subconscious. Refer to the specific animal in your dream.

Ken: To dream of SeanahR means that you are striving to find perfection in your life. SeanahR is the epitome of all that is good and holy, and you want to learn from her brilliance. There you have it!

KJ: Excellent answer. That's what I thought...

Lifer: To dream that you are in a fight, indicates inner turmoil. Some aspect of yourself is in conflict with another aspect of yourself. Perhaps an unresolved or unacknowledged part is fighting for its right to be heard. It may also parallel a fight or struggle that you are going through in your waking life.

I have a recurring dream that I am flying. Not in an aircraft but alone. Up there floating around and looking down at homes and people. It's truly a superb dream experience and when I wake, I want to fall back asleep and go back to that wonderful place above the ground. Any idea's?

KJ: Actually, I also have the same kind of dream SeanahR...

Jailbird, this is a very common dream. Here's what it says:

Flying dreams fall under a category of dreams known as lucid dreaming. Lucid dreams occur when you become aware that you are dreaming. Many dreamers describe the ability to fly in their dreams as an exhilarating, joyful, and liberating experience.

If you are flying with ease and enjoying the scene and landscape below, then it suggests that you are on top of a situation. You have risen above something. It may also mean that you have gained a different perspective on things. Flying dreams and the ability to control your flight is representative of your own personal sense of power.

Does the good book say anthing about stalking dreams?
I have a recurring dream that I am walking downtown and in the dream I feel that I am being followed. I never see the follower in my dreams but the feeling that I'm being stalked is very real...

Hi Betty, here's what the book says about your stalking dreams.

To dream that you are being stalked, indicates difficulties and problems which you are not confronting. Your avoidance of these problems is not making them go away. If you are being stalked in real life, then this fear may be carried over into your dream state.

Seanah R.. Can't resisit any longer. I have this re-occuring dream, tell me what it means

I am in a small plane crash with usually between 4 and 6 people. Me and the pilot survive. After 3 days of not being located, pilot walks into the woods. Never to be seen again. I survive for another week until the wreckage is finally found. I am barely alive, but the weather is bad and they can't get me out. That is where the friggin dream always ends, me being found, but noone being able to get me to safety. Oh yeah, the dream is always takes place in the winter, and for whatever reason I always seem to have a blanket.

lol, Sarah is right. Go to dreammoods.com and you can look up any dream. But isn't it more fun having me do it for you?

Casper: Here's what the dream dictionary says about your dream.

To dream that a plane crashes, suggests that you have set overly high and unrealistic goals for yourself. Your goals may be too high and are impossible to realize. To see a blanket in your dream, symbolizes warmth, love, security and protection. You may be seeking for some form of shelter from the outside world. Consider also how your dream may be calling attention to a "cover-up" in some situation or circumstance in your waking life.

To dream that you are stranded, represents your feelings of isolation and loneliness. You are seeking for someone to help and rescue you from your situation. To dream of winter, signifies ill-health, depression, and misfortune. The dream may be analogous to how you are feeling - emotionally cold and frigid.

To dream that you are being rescued or rescue others, represents an aspect of yourself that has been neglected or ignored. You are trying to find a way to express this neglected part of yourself. Alternatively, it symbolizes an unconscious cry for help. Perhaps you are too proud in your waking life to ask for assistance.

Looks like there may be a lot of negative stuff lurking in your sub conscious Casper.

lol Casper! I wouldn't worry about it.

Ace Ventura: I think I can do this one without consulting the dream dictionary.

To dream that your house is filled with animals indicates that you have an unhealthy obsession with mid 90s Jim Carrey films. You are stuck in the past, possibly because you are afraid of what the future has to offer. By clinging to the safety net of obnoxious cable guys and fart humour, you create the illusion of comfort, but in reality you are running away from your true identity.

Try "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind", it won't be an easy transition, but I know you can do it!

SeanahR,

Here's one for you. I can't remember exact details of the dream I had last night but do remember that in the dream, I was trying to get up and out of bed. Someone or something, was holding me down. I was aware that I was dreaming but still could not get up! I also kept telling myself to wake up completely but couldnt seem to do it. When I finally came out of it, I was sort of halfway up in a push up position and my arms were tired...anything on this one?

Hey any of you ever had this effect happen to you?

A lucid dream, also known as conscious dream, is a dream in which the sleeper is aware that they are dreaming. When the dreamer is lucid, they can actively participate in and often manipulate the imaginary experiences in the dream environment. Lucid dreams can be extremely real and vivid depending on a person's level of self-awareness during the lucid dream.

I havent but man that sounds friggin awesome.

Hey Doc,

I had some trouble with this one. Thje closest key words I could find were "paralyzed" or trapped. Here is what it said:

To dream that you are paralyzed, may reflect the current state of your body while you are dreaming. During the REM state of sleep, you really are immobile and paralyzed. People report that they cannot run or hit, despite how hard they try.

However, symbolically, dreaming that you are paralyzed may mean you are feeling helpless or pinned down in some aspects or circumstances of your waking life. You may feel unable to deal with a situation or that you can't do or change anything. Alternatively, the dream suggests that you are feeling emotionally paralyzed. You are having difficulties expressing your feelings

To dream that you are trapped or caught in a trap, suggests that you are feeling confined and restricted in your job, career, health, or a personal relationship. You may be in a rut and are tired of the same daily monotony.

I like this dream evaluation topic.

A couple of days ago, I had a dream that I was shopping and was in Boondocks I think? Anyway, some loser came in to rob the place and the owner pulled out a sawed off double barrel pump action shotgun and disposed of him, in many pieces actually. Then in the dream, I am cleaning up the mess.
Thats got to be one of the strangest dreams I ever had.
Does your good book have any definition?

One time my Ma told me that she had this dream where my dad was hitting her pretty good and she couldnt stop him because her arms had been turned to rubber. Turns out she fell asleep on her arms and couldnt move them anyway. So in her dream she decides to bite him to get him to stop and in real life she rolled over and bit him in the side pretty friggin hard. Both of em woke up freaked out. Kinda weird how your present body condition ie (sleeping arms) can translate into a dream. I asked the old man about it and he showed me the scar. My Ma felt awful.
